Key Points on Jaminan Kehilangan Pekerjaan (JKP BPJS)

A. Brief explanation about the Regulation
The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, issued a regulation regarding the amount of the Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) fund for workers or workers who were laid off. Funds will be given in the form of cash.
"Cash benefits are given every month for a maximum of six months of wages with the provisions of 45 percent of wages for the first three months and 25 percent of wages for the following three months," said Article 4 paragraph 1
B. The Requirements for JKP
The JKP program is intended for the Wage Recipient segment such as office workers and factory workers who meet the following criteria:
• Indonesian citizen
• Not older than 54 years old
• Workers in PK/BU Medium and Large-Scale Businesses who have participated in 4 Programs (JKK, JKM, JHT, and JP)
• Workers in Small and Micro Scale PK/BU with a minimum of 3 programs (JKK, JKM and JHT)
• Registered as a Wage Recipient in a Business Entity for the JKN BPJS Health Program
C. The benefit of JKP Program
Cash Benefit:
Benefits in the form of cash received by participants every month for a maximum of 6 months, after workers who have been laid off are verified by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and qualify as JKP beneficiaries.
Cash benefits are given at (45% x wages x 3 months) + ( 25% x wages x 3 months).
The wages used are the last reported wages, with a wage limit of Rp. 5,000,000.00
Work Information Benefit
• Provided in the form of labor market information services and/or;
• Position guidance in the form of self-assessment/assessment and career counseling.
Work training
Work competency-based job training. Job Training is conducted through Job Training Institutes owned by the government, private sector, or companies. (can be held online and/or offline).
D. JKP Recipient Criteria
Contribution Period Terms:
Orderly BPJS Employment contributions for 12 months in 24 months where 6 months are paid in a row
Submission Period:
Since being laid off, up to 3 months from being laid off
JKP Submission Requirements:
• Proof of dismissal
• There is a commitment to work again
Those Who Don't Meet the Criteria for JKP Beneficiaries:
• Resign
• Permanent Disability
• Pension
• Death
• PKWT whose working period has expired according to the contract period.
E. How is the JKP program registration process?
Participants who have registered and are eligible will automatically become JKP participants. As for new participants, the procedure is the same as for other program membership registrations where the company fills out forms F1 and F1a, and pays dues. Participants will be automatically registered as JKP participants if the program registered by the company for the kindergarten is in accordance with the company's business scale as stipulated.
F. What are the conditions that must be prepared by both new and registered companies to participate in the JKP program?
• New and registered PK/BU must complete:
• Data assets and turnover
• Data of labor (NIK, mobile number and email)
• Number and/or date of start and end of work agreement for workers/laborers with an employment relationship based on a Specific Time Work Agreement (PKWT)
• Number and/or start date of work agreement or letter of appointment for workers/laborers with an employment relationship based on an Indefinite Work Agreement (PKWTT)
